Neither: I'd get seasick watching the gauges :)
Install a pee tube and mount it where you can readily see it.
I installed car horns in place of the buzzer I could barely hear.
Now if there was a light that flashed when it got hot??? I might add that too the horns.

I'll join in on this posting, not too old that a lot of dust will go flying LOL. Back in 1975 Dad bought a used Tri-hull with a 55hp Chrysler and we used it for skiing, fishing, and on vacations. We even "dragged" it to Ashland Ky from the Atlanta area with a '76 Datsun B210 (45mph up and over Jellico Mtn) Dad sold the boat when they moved out of the lake house they tried to buy. FF a few years and I bought a '57 LoneStar with a 45hp Monkey Wards SeaKing / Chrysler engine from my Uncle Art. I did a complete tune-up and carb overhaul and that engine started on the first hit every time and would run all day, sold when I needed a car worse than a boat, wish I still had that engine. My Uncle Art had a 90hp(?) 3 cylinder Chrysler on his LoneStar cabin cruiser, it ran good and he still owned it when he passed a few years ago. Now I have my present '87 Force on a 1961 Albright cruiser. Boat is in fantastic shape, motor runs good and I'm finishing up with what I consider as seasonal maintenance, rebuilt carbs, new fuel and water pumps, adjustments being done and patiently waiting for boating season to begin
