How long?

I ordered a new Crestliner pontoon 6 weeks ago from a dealer in western Wi. How long is reasonable to wait for it to be delivered? Does anyone know who to contact there (at Crestliner) to verify what is happening?

Or am I at the mercy of the dealer and Crestliner Inc? It's getting late in the season and I'm wondering if i should just cancel or wait until spring and get a 08.

Why isn't the dealer able to give you a delivery date? Did you get a confirmed date prior to forking over any dough?

Yes, we did get a date. But it has long since past. And the dealer is blaming Crestliner for the delay. Of course I have no way of contacting Crestliner other than a cold call to the factory. Which I doubt would be of much value.

I had the same problem with a pontoon boat. The dealer had more excuses everytime I spoke to him. First, the boat wasn't on the right delivery truck. Then, they didn't start building the boat yet, bla bla bla. I went to the dealer and said my wife and I aren't interested in the boat anymore. That was it, they gave me my check back and was suppose to cancel the order. I went to Chatlee in Sandford NC and boat my pontoon boat their. During this time I went to another boat dealer and asked the salesman what the difference was between a saltwater ( motor/engine yes I read the post on that ) and a freshwater. He said, no difference, they just put a saltwater decal on those moters/engines. What an idiot. The Family Circus <><

Here is a update.

My frustration level reached a new high yesterday after not hearing anything. So, I called the Crestliner factory customer service number. I left a messgae describing all the issues and lack of response. Within 20 minutes the plant manager called me back and took all the details and 20 minutes later the CL sales rep for the area called me back with the details of when the boat was delivered etc. Yes, was delievered. I should have it this weekend.

I was very impressed by the response of the Crestliner folks. They made a good impression.
