Yeah 5200 is super thick and really tough to move around once its on. Use PL premium to bed the stringer, then mix up some PB it will be cheaper than 5200 I promise. I would guess that to bed the stringer and fillet with 5200 would take at the very least 6 -7 tubes at 11-12 bux at home depot. (I base that on us using 2 tubes of PL to bed our stringer, guesstimating 2 more on each side to form a wide enough fillet).
Glass bubbles, fumed silica (cabosil) and some resin might cost you the same as all those tubes of 5200 if we are talking a gallon of resin. BUT!!!!, you will have enough fillet goo to fillet your stringer, transom, and maaaaybe the deck.
We used a small paper bag full of glass bubbles and cabosil and prob about a gallon of resin and we filled all our patch jobs on the hull, filleted the transom and the stringer. We have a small amount left might be able to do the deck.
