how much water is enough?

I have a 1985 70hp yamaha 70ETLK motor, when i run it, it just kinda slowly streams water out.. is this normal or should it be STREAMING OUT?

when was the last cooling system tune up?
that system uses a low pressure high volume cooling system so the pressure is somewhat lower than you will see on the rest of the yamaha line up.
the 2 stroke 60 and 70 are the only motors that Yamaha reccomends a water pressure guage NOT be used.

I have never done any pump maintnance, I bought the boat in the middle of last season and the guy I bought it from said he had all the maintnance done for the season. I just noticed other boats move a LOT more water out than mine.
