Also how many HP is this motor... can 't tell from the motor itself...

i also have a gamefisher motor...trying to find out how old it is...
model 298-586191

The model number is not J4Brcic. It is J4Brc1c (J4BRC1C).

The "C1" indicates the engine is a 1981 model.

With this key in hand it is very easy to figure out the age of any OMC engine that was built between 1979 and 2000

Oh, "I" may mean 1 but in the key it is "I"
The two letters to look for are the two before the last.The last letter is a batch number that has nothing to do with age.

Also the "BR" stands for "Euro Rope Start"

As you originally put, your model number is J4BRCIC, not with a 1
