How thick is your ice?

Here in north Iowa we still have over 24" of ice. I was just wondering how the thawing was going for others that live in the land of hard water.

Southern Wisconsin is seeing 30 inches +/- 6" depending on location.

The temps have been rising here in WV for several weeks and my lake is back to water, in fact i may splash mine for the season tomorrow.

A friend of a friend had to buy an extension for his power ice auger. The 36" bit was not long enough for the ice on Lake St. Clair.

A buddy of mine had to do the same thing for one of the lakes he is fishing here in NW Montana, when he finally got through, he measured 43 inches of ice.

They just ran a news story on that yesterday. As of yesterday Lake Minnetonka here has 24 inches of ice under 6 inches of water that is covered by 18 inches of snow. I heard people had fun getting their ice houses off.

Lots of frozen lakes in sw Michigan but the thawing is going slow I guess that's a good thing . No flooding yet. About 2 feet.

28" on one of the local lakes as of last Friday according to the guy who lived on the lake.

You still won't find me out there regardless.

My auger is 48 inches. And I couldn't get through.

I am on Eagle Lake in Racine county and one bay is 3 1/2 feet still and the deeper bay is 24 inches yet. I may get the pier in in June!

about 3/4 inch but thats for the cubes in the freezer. It was about 60 out yesterday

About 1" x 1" x 1". I put it in my sweet tea on warm February days when it gets in to the mid-80s
