1969 v4 115hp with possible ignition problems. idle's great, has power, but through out rpms it has sharp miss's all the way to wot. seems like as mechanical ignition advances off idle, rpms do not increase until advance is max then on through rpm/power range with random fraction of a second miss's almost every second or two.

changed plugs ran on lake 40min. all plugs are very clean with zero color on porcelin and yellow white finger? seem to clean to me=no change in peoblem

maybe some one knows wher to get a 1969 shop manual

drained fuel refilled with freash 91 no change in problem

no cracks clogs in fuel line and carbs are clean

any marine shop says of you dont have $500-1000 to spend they cant start to help and 200-300 just to look at it. worst of all it only does this on the water under load and they kinda want to check/rebuild most every thing ground up. they dont know what to fix so just rebuild all systems at $110 an hr + parts? thats nuts. they try to say "this could be bad" i say "no that would cause this" oh ya! okay this, this and this, did you change your impeller? ME"what so you have no clue?" you just want me to drop it off with no budget in mind?

Im used to be a motocross/supercross mechanic so I have alot of experiance with 2 strokes so they arent going to give me the run around and they dont like that.

possible water sucking into motor? but all 4 cylinders....
lean on all cyl would mean pump

Spinning My Wheels here oh i mean prop lol

Not quite. You'll need a multi meter with a dva adapter and an adjustable open air gap spark tester.

Just make sure you test everything just as they tell you, then test them again . if everything reads as it should then you are good. at least the ignition system!
