How to clean carbs

Newbie question here as this is something I've never done before.

I have a 1996 90hp Mercury that I'm wanting to pull the carbs and clean them. Is this something that I can do myself? I want to make sure not to change any of the adjustments if possible.

It's a simple job with a OEM manual, just keep track of the low speed adjustments and return them to the same position after cleaning the low speed passages.
