How to fight terrorists

The following came from an article I read. It is not a popular opinion and does not fit todays candy rear society, but still interesting reading.<br /><br />"Just before WWI there were a number of terrorist attacks on US forces in the Phillipines by Muslim extremists. So, General Pershing captured 50 terrorists and had them tied to posts for execution. He then had his men bring in 2 pigs to slaughter in front of the now horrified terrorists.<br />Muslims detest pork because they believe pigs are filthy animals. Some of them simply refuse to eat it, while others won't even touch pigs at all, nor any of their by-products. To them eating or touching a pig, it's meat, it's blood etc. is to be instantly banned from paradise (and those 72 v!rgins)and doomed to Hell. <br />The soldiers then soaked their bullets in the pigs blood and proceeded to execute 49 of the terrorists by firing squad. The soldiers then dug a big hole, dumped the terrorists bodies in and covered them with the pigs blood, entrails etc. <br />They let the 50th man go. And for the next 42 years, there was not a single muslim extremist attack anywhere in the world."<br />The question is where do we find another General Black Jack Pershing and a congress full of people with a little spine to let Americans defend America? <br /><br />In my opinion we are being sold down the river by those who want to pamper our enemies. Wars are not only won on the battle field, they are lost in the government ofifces. The only way to win a war is to kill every last enemy, their descendants, and all of their friends. Otherwise they will always be organizing for another fight. The other wya is to take away their will to fight. You will not take away their will to fight by pampering them. To the current enemies of our great nation death is not a loss, it is their own victory. We need to find a way to take away their will to fight and injure our citizens. <br /><br />I do not condone the abuse that has been accused against the prisoners. But on the same side I do not completely detest it either. We need to be hard handed with thes people to take away their will to fight us. We do need to be bigger than they are with our tactics and morality, but the only people who will take note of that is the U.S. citizens watching TV, and a few other countries. You can bet though that our enemies are watching CNN and see that we are tearing each other apart with this war. That alone is fuel to their fight. Part of winning is taking away the will to fight. Watching our news reports makes it look like our troops will to be in this fight is falling. After all when families and friends at home are against the fight, then it stands to reason so are the soldiers.

I'm all for coating our ammunition in pig's blood,so that every terrorist we kill knows that heaven will reject them, but isn't there some sort of Geneva convention article to say that is illegal?<br />Well, too bad for the convention then.

Well DD if you look at the post about being PC in war from yesterday you will see that there are many who feel it would be too mean to those misunderstood indeviduals that you give the name of terrorists.( who are really misunderstood heros to some I guess) If they are afraid to attack them when they are in a mosque, chances are putting pig blood on their wrongfuly killed corpses would be way over the line.....shame on you for trying to win and do so by psycological means as well as physical........O.K. Sarcasm off.......I say we go for it.

Psychological warfare can be a very powerful weapon (not even classified as a weapon of mass destruction). Even if rumors were released (and I have a hunch they were!) it can have a huge impact on the enemy. Since WWII we have not entered one single conflict with the intent to win it. Seems we just want to participate. The enemy that we engage fights to win. We only fight enough to let them know we are there. Let's go all out like we used to and win one instead of trying to make the world like us. I'm not talking nuclear weapons here just use the tactics we need to win. If theirs are working why don't we use their's against them like Pershing did.

it seems that when we exercise the death penalty and put someone to sleep by lethal injection, that we still need to waste alcohol pads and sterilize their arm before we use the needle to kill them.<br /><br />We might get in trouble for infecting the newly deceased with something in the pigs blood dipped bullets before we fillem full of hot lead. <br /><br />p.s. after that lil spew I have to say... Someone brought up the Geneva Convention. I wish everyone would read or at least understand the Geneva Convention, before trying to use it to defend terrorist. The Geneva Convention applies to men and women of any IDENTIFIED, ORGANIZED, UNIFORM-WEARING army. It DOES NOT apply to cowards who dress in civilian clothes, hiding amongst women and children. Terrorists are not protected by the Geneva convention.

Just for the sake of clarity, pork is also off-limits to Jews, as it was declared "unclean" by the Christian and Jewish deity in the Jewish Torah and in the Old Testament of the Christian Bible, although the prohibition was overturned in the New Testament.<br /><br />On the other hand, as all good cajuns know, you can't make boudin rouge without fresh pork blood.

Thank you.<br /><br /><br />w1,<br />Great point, these people(?)do not fit the definition of an army or organized fighting force by the Geneva Convention or any governing body or international organization known of. They willfully attack and murder masses of innocent, non combative individuals for the sole purpose of instilling fear in the masses and affecting their control. They will stop short at nothing to attain their goal. Why should we. Before the flame throwers fire up, go talk to a survivor of the 911 attack or any other terrorist attack, then you can flame on as you like.

No, the Geneva convention does not apply here.<br /><br />We need to band together as a nation and show them that we are all joined together in this fight. Even if we are not, we need to make it look like we are. This will show them that we will not quit. Every time someone posts a negative comment on a message board like this, they may see it. Every time CNN shows a soldier getting in trouble for doing their job, they see it. Every time the government officials make a public statement against the war they see it. This gives them the reaction they want. It shows them that we are waivering as a nation in our resolve to fight.<br /><br />Killing them all will not help. Next we will have their sons, daughters, grandchildren, neices, nephews, friends, neighbors, and on it goes. We need to destroy them then their will to fight. Make them aware that if they mess with us we will keep coming. Simply killing them is in itself a victory to them, they are dead and missed, but they win because it speeds their journey to their heaven. To them death in battle for their God is glorious. Make their death not so wonderful and it will change their attitudes. You can not win a war for fear when your enemy not only is not afraid of death but welcomes it. <br /><br />Make no mistake about it. This war, even with the poor information on WMD's, is not about oil. It is not about money, revenge for GW and his father, it is about terrorism! Ask those who were there from the start. The first major battle on the road to baghdad. Ask anyone that was there, or check recent history on a location they called 64 easting. The U.S. troops were fired on in an ambush. They first thought it was a warehouse, but after the battle ended found out it was a terrorist training camp sponsored by Iraq and Saddam. There were very few Iraqui fighters there. I don't remember all of the countries there but if I am correct there were Syrian, Lebanese, Palestinian among many others. <br /><br />Remember what we said after 9-11 many years ago? If your not with us, you are with the terrorists. I am thinking that sponsoring and training the terrorists just might be a form of support for them? <br /><br />Lets get a bunch of crop sprayers full of pigs blood, or make a big public show of washing our feet and spraying the wash water over them. That is another insult....the biggest insult of all to them to show the bottomn of your feet or step on someone.<br /><br />The point of this is we will never take away their will to fight by simple death....they welcome death in battle for their God. The only true fear to them is to affect the afterlife with their suspicions like the pigs blood. We need to shame them into leaving the fight. <br /><br />But that would be too cruel I guess so on we fight.<br /><br />Oh and to address the reply of not wanting to win a fight since WWII. How true that is. Korea and Veitnam we went in to contain communist China, The Gulf war we went in to move Saddam back to Iraq. We have painted a big bulseye on our rears with our attitude.

I agree with you DD, I think America is in for some serious trouble unless we can get our prioritys straight. I can imagine the huge outcry if we used pigs blood in a war. The wackos would be out in full force!

The old Soviet Union had a pretty good way to fight terrorism. It is extreme, but it was effective.<br /><br />In the 80's, when all the hostages were being taken, some group made the mistake of taking a couple Soviet persons of influence and killing one of them to make a point. The Soviets discovered who was responsible and removed their entire gene pool from the earth. The other hostages were freed and no others taken.<br /><br />I am not condoning what they did, but it was in a language that terrorists understand.

If true, barbarism begets barbarism. <br /><br />Yet, we can't even profile in US airports. Last time I checked, there was not a single terrorist, on 9/11, that was six years old or over 70. That is a '10' on the PC=STUPID meter.

Please show me documentation that it is bogus, PW. In the meantime, I'll believe what i saw on the history channel.
