Pershing story is a legend without truth, but mental warfare is certainly not something that might be considered.<br /><br />The Geneva Convention application is questionable because terrorist are not addressed in the agreement.<br /><br />The problem with attacking the terrorist is they are not a sole eninity and therefore are best handled through individual attacks not by barging into a country to change its government.

This war is frightening. The tactics the enemy use are akin to the vietcong and the enemy's attitude is akin to the japs in WW2.<br /><br />Does any of you REALLY believe that if they can selectively quote their own religious book to justify indiscriminate terrorism that they won't find a way around pigs blood or torture? These sickos are so deluded that if we tortured the captives live on TV with sharpened pork bones they'd worship them all as martyrs and come even harder.<br /><br />The best thing we can do is what we ARE doing-restore a semblance of democratic power structure to Iraq then GET THE HELL OUT and let them kill each other rather than our kin.

Heard on one of the milsurp gun boards that 7.62x39 ammo (AK47 variants) has dried up. Seems that Syria and Iran are actively stocking up for WW IV. Irrational IMO, but????????? <br /><br />Gotta feed the "spray and pray" terriorists that those nations are feeding to Iraq.

I don't know about the pigs blood artical truth or not. It was published in a local newspaper and I thouhgh it was good. I hadn't seen it on the net yet, but I don't get any junk mail anymore, and don't do much online but Iboats.<br /><br />I meant to open the first paragraph with I don't know if this is fact or not, and really don't care it is still cool to read.<br /><br />I am very glad I am not in charge of this mess. It has religious ties to our enemies, so there is no way of winning a definative victory. Especially if we keep allowing and fueling our media to report negative side of the fight. But the media may not be all the blame. They control the nations thoughts with what they report, but the nation also fuels them by eating up their reports.

Who decides which person is a terrorist or do we kill em all and let God sort out the innocent. <br /><br />Tuff call there agitator. I do not fear the terrorist today; I fear the 9-15 year old terrorist of tomorrow who has "faced the devil and witnessed his evil." That is not what I feel but what the children of Iraq etc are being taught by the radicals in their communities and family.

However, I do believe he is an honest man.<br /><br />The left is always so quick to criticize, and vehemently so. Got a better idea? Anyone who was born at the time of the first Gulf War is 15 years old, it is hard to overcome conditioning learned from the cradle to that age....TX makes a good point, they all a'int gonna love us because we think they should....Like it not, we see ourselves as liberators, some see us as invaders.....JK

You can say all you want, but right now this government is getting what it asked for. When Russia was in Afghanistan, our wonderful government gave bin laden money to buy weapons to fight Russia, and turned their heads to what was being done. Now they are paying for it. The government needs to mind their own business and take care of our own. Right now they are in for a fight that will not end until Bin laden is dead. If we pull out he will just bring it to the US. Once you have the enemy on the run you go after them and brake their will. They would not let us fight a war in Viet-Nam and pulled us out. Leave the fighting to the people who are trained to fight and let the government do what they are to do and keep the politices out of it.<br />I have stated on this board before, I love my country, but my Government scares the he!! out of me.

Remember too though when the U.S. helped push Russia out of Afganistan that was during the cold war. I am thinking there were a lot higher stakes in that game the CIA played that we easily forget. How many remember all of the missles, fallout shelters everywhere, bomb drills, films they showed us constantly in school showing how Russia was going to bomb us and kill us all? There was more to removing Russia than simply helping another country.
