Well we, (wife and I ) usually catch crappie and enjoy eating them. Other fish we usually catch and release. So the glove with the towel will work for us...I think. When we are bass fishing, we are not catching them very quickly and therefore I'll remove them and return them to the water unless they are bleeding and won't survive. But we just don't like bass as good as crappie for meals. Thanks again for all the suggestions, I do read and heed them all... Great forum and equally great folks replying...

Okay here is my problem. I love to fish and so does my wife. However, my wife likes to catch them but not touch them. She has a real phobia about how the fish feels. So ever time she catches a fish, I have to take it off the line. Now usually that doesn't seriously bother me until we manage some how stumble upon a feeding frenzy and every time we throw our lures in we are catching fish. I have to take her fish off and that takes time. So I usually don't get to fish too much. I tried some fish gloves and even a short fish handling rod so she doesn't have to touch them. But that doesn't work for some reason. What do you all think? I know I'm being sel-fish (pun not intended), but I do like to catch them as well... Any ideas? :facepalm: And let's not even talk about live bait... :faint2:

yeah see right there I lost all sympathy for you.....LOL

I like the towel idea. Mine is the same as your's I get to take all fish off the line.

Some guys have all the luck, they catch fish and they have a woman that will go fishing with them.

you have to see it, I didn't believe it, a fishing buddy showed me. I have scoured utube for a video, but cant find one so I will make one next time I catch a fish and post it. you have to put it in past the hook with the fish hanging from the line. twerl the stick in a circular motion, the line wraps around the stick till it gets to the hook, the stick ends up in the hook, pulls it right out. works great on a swallowed hook too.
