Yes, I procrastinate. Bought my new compressor in 2007, along with an Ingersoll-Rand filter/water separator. Just getting around to hooking up the filter/separator. Problem: No apparent mounting holes/brackets (it is a F252XX-XXX).

Looked on-line at some installations, but can't tell how the filter/separators were mounted. Can I just make a bracket that will hang it from the inlet and outlet fittings? It won't be "hard" mounted - inlet and outlet will be hose.

Petcock or rubber nipple to the bottom to clear the moisture that accumulates, mounting flange is probably a separate item.

It already has a nipple on the bottom for clearing moisture. The body unscrews to allow access to the filter. So, clamping using a flange on the body will not work for mounting. The Ingersoll-Rand site doesn't show any mounting flange. That's why I'm wondering about making some brackets that will cradle the inlet and outlet fittings.

I have always mounted mine on the wall of the garage between the compressor and the feedline You could fabricate a bracket for far less then the price of the one above ;)

Mine is mounted on the wall of the garage, hose to it, then it runs through pipe to several different hook up points through out the garage.

That would work. Actually, I can make it myself - wouldn't have to worry about carrying the weight of the unit on the inlet and outlet fittings.

I hope you can make it, cause $21 bucks is nuts!

Make sure you mount the filter as far away from the compressor as possible to allow the water vapor to condense before it gets to the water separator.
