Why would you want to change? You have the OMC Universal Magneto in that motor, one of the most successful ignition systems ever used in outboards, used well over 20 years.

Well anyhow, as for converting it to solid state ignition, there is such a kit made, but I have never personally installed one and probably never will. It is called Magnatune and is sold by Sierra Marine. Sierra part number is 18-5101. iboats sells Sierra products, but I don't find a listing for it in their search function. If you are determined to do the conversion, give iboats a call and see if they can/will fix you up with a kit.

Why bother, a new points setup will last for years and years.

The OMC magneto is far more reliable and quickly repairable than any electronic ignition I ever saw.

If you are merely curious, it can be done, but it is not as good as the original.

Re: How to,points to electronic ignition

Try a set of Brian Miller's NOVA II Electronic transistorized ignition modules. They replace the points and condensors, while leaving the stock coils in place. I've used them extensively on a 1969 Johnson 6hp motor, with good result. The only issue that I noticed, is that the motor doesn't seem to idle quite as well, as with a conventional ignition system.

Be aware, also, that they can only be used on magneto ignitions with one magnet in the flywheel. Since the magnet is what triggers the modules, more than one magnet will "confuse" them.
