Re: How to remove powerhead 83 evinrude 140
Ya, but if my waterpipe leaks inside the midsection it is not supplying enough water to the engine and it will overheat. I had water coming out prop exhaust and all around lower end to mid section. Assumed it was due to seal between the mid section water tube and water pump but when I separated and saw all the water that was leaking out of the mid section thru the water tube, as I was feeding directly into the water tube, made me realize I had a leak in the tube or at the top where it seats and the mid section needed to come off. Had I know it would be this much work I would never had attempted it. Possibly would have been fine. Maybe once engine was in water...I dont know but did not want to sell it knowing something was wrong. Too late now. Going to go drill out the last bolt.
