I have a 1998 edgewater with a 1998 Yamaha 130 HP engine. The digital fuel guage/speedometer became very dim. I purchased a replacement. I thought I could just unplug the original guage and plug in the new gauge.The new guage has two harnesses more wires and a large plug that the original guage did not have. Additionally, there is a square attachment between the gauge and the speedometer tube. Can I still use this gauge or is this not the correct guage.
Please explain how to wire this guage if I can use it. The boat is equipped with the speedometer/ fuel guage and a tach/ trim guage. There are no other gauges.
