How to safely test spark plugs.

This may be a dumb question, but how do you guys test spark plugs while avoiding fuel vapors that are shooting out of the cylinders? Even after disconnecting fuel line, there is enough gas in carbs and power-head to cause explosion or burns if its ignited.

Your right that could happen but if you ground your plugs away from the plug holes there is very little chance of that happening. The worst thing that might happen is you get a small flame from the cylinder. Live on the edge a little give it a try you will be fine.

There are spark testers that are enclosed that you can see thru that you can connect to each cylinder leaving the spark plugs in the motor so you dont have that worry! max!
