how to set points on 25 hp Johnson 1975

Does anyone know what the proper procedure is to set the points? I turned the cam until the points were on the set line of the cam and adjusted them to .20. Does it make a difference if I have the throttle in the wide open full throttle position or in the slowest position when I set the points?

I know you mean you set them at .020" To answer the queston, no it doesn't matter one bit where the throttle is.
