I just purchased a 5 h.p. 1975 mariner and i can not figure out how i can tilt the motor up. It seems to be locked in place. Can anybody assist me on this?
You would do better in the Mariner/Merc section.
Some motors you can just shift to forward and tip it up.
If not running you might have to pull the rope a little to get it to shift.
