Jeepers, creepers, Christmas cats!!

I thought it was this guy who said that:

Yeah, he said it, but about 40 years after Billy Batson said it to summon Captain Marvel. You were just born too late, NYBo. :)

I really don't think JB started this thread just so people could try out different methods of saying "Bad Words" here in DC, perhaps you should look at the meaning of what he said and not just post a bunch of silly words and symbols to show how clever you really aren't.

"I'll bet, if you think about it, you have harmless expletives, too.

How about it??
"

Honestly Don, I think JB did ask for what you are seeing. The harmless part is very subjective though.

I asked for "harmless". I don't see anything harmless in disguised profanity, Angus, in case that is what you are talking about. :)

I need new glasses. I could have sworn the title of this thread was "How to use Explosives"

"Si El Guapo, you have a plethora of goats."

This promises to be a VERY slow day, which means I'll have an extremely difficult time not exchanging Three Amigos quotes. One of my all time faves.

 No one could see where this thread was headed. Technicality versus reality.

I'll bet, if you think about it, you have harmless expletives, too.

How about it??

A few of my favorites: stercoraceous, callipygian or callipygous, deliquescent, sesquipedalian. All real words - check them out in your dictionary.

I think well disguised profanity is perfectly acceptable. Things like H.E. double hockey sticks.

If I was to draw a line it would be modifying the profanity so that it reads the same but gets through the profanity filter. Only for the sake of example will I post the word Ash and the word hole (intentionally seperated in this case).

If it reads like the bad version than it's really no different. If in a round about way you can figure out exactly what word is meant, I'm ok with that. Being classy is not a forum requirement, but being respectful is.

The actual application of the words is so much more of a problem (insulting, inappropriate, personal attack). Again, being classy is not a forum requirement, but being respectful is.

After reading the "A New Way to Fly" thread, could we use "southkogs" as an expletive?:eek::D

Re: How to use expletives without offending forum rules

When I was coaching our girls high school bowling team I soon found out that one of their favorite lines began with the first word m and the second word with an f. i told them this was not acceptable. They asked what they could say instead and I told them to say "Bob Saget" just like they would have the other words. It caught on and to this day when I run into one of them they still say it and laugh. I alos us stinkin' fish in the same manner.
