I suppose I just missed out but I never did get the outcome on the series of posts about questionable tickets received by a couple of members. Was there an update?

I paid the attorney, havent heard the final decision yet. I'll probably end up paying the fine like everyone else does.

I just went to traffic court last night.
Charge, Following too closely, I rear-ended a lady in a brandy new Expedition( boy those new ones stop fast ;) ).
A lady in a Mercedes slammed on the brakes in front of the Expedition to make an illegal U-turn.
The Expedition hit the brakes and stopped quick. My old 94 E-150 slid......right into the back of her.
Cop never saw the accident, sooooo, long story short...he couldn't prove that I was too close (which I wasn't by the way). I was outta there in two minutes....case dissmissed.
Sometimes it works out for the little guy :)
(OK I'm 6'2" 230 lbs....maybe it works out for big guys too ;) )

If you were in New York the judge would have fined you for following to close and her for backing into you. Here it's all about the money... logic and justice are just annoying words that get in the way of revenue generation. Of course for a hefty fine you could plea bargain it to a stop sign violation so it wouldn't affect your insurance.
