I have used the vinyl color spray on both car and boat interiors for over 20 years. I have done dashboards, door panels, kick panels, seats, you name it. I have had no problem with covering all stains and the durability has been amazing, no flaking, peeling or chipping.

One caution though, I like to armour-all my leather and vinyl. If you do not clean the vinyl carefully before painting, the vinyl paint will create an orange peel affect on your seats. And if you don't get it off while still wet, you won't get it off.

Why not try one can and see for yourself how you like the effects.

The spray does work like the others have stated.I sprayed the seat on my jet ski to cover mildew spots that would not come off.About 2 months later the mildew started bleeding through..
I would say it was only a short term solution for a mildew problem.
Have you tried the StarBrite mildew remover.I have had good luck with it.
Bleach is a big NO! Stitching will fall apart from the bleach...

There's some good comments here, especially the one about the mildew coming back through. I've got an order in for some aerosol cans and will test them out on some bench seats that have got mold stains. We've got some nice weather forecast this next week, so, if the paint gets here in time I can get the test run going soon.

I have tried the Star Brite, it didn't get the mold stains out. Same result with the Bleche White (see, I have tried lots of stuff already). However, I must say that the Bleche White did get my black table top shining again. It was getting white stains running throughout the vinyl covering. The Bleche White cleaned it up nicely.

I'm going to try and insert a couple pics of the vinyl here (see attached thumbnails).

Sorry if the images don't come out right. If you can see the images, you get an idea of the mold issue I'm dealing with.

BTW: I contacted the boat manufacturer to get the official name of the color (to match the dye) and they said that their vinyl could NOT be dyed. The dye manufacturers I've talked to say that they have issues with polyurethane, but, work fine with all types of vinyl. Who do I believe?
