I have 3 mega-tron batteries, 550cca 699A batteries, One is the starting battery, other two are paralelled for less drain on each.

I'm looking for a smart charger that charges 3 banks, have 1 bank on the starter batt, and the other 2 doubled up on the house batteries.

That will work. You could even get by with a two bank charger. One output does the starting battery, the other does the paralleled batteries. A dual bank charger with one of the outputs providing 20A for example will charge both of the paralleled batteries at the same rate as doubling up two separate 10A outputs on a three bank charger. Might also be less expensive.

Save your money and buy a 2 bank charger, and invest the money you save in more amps. Am I right in assuming you have a bank for your trolling motor? The 10 amp charger I bought Michigan last year was a great investment, will direct the charge to the bank that needs it, condition and maintain, pretty well idiot proof. Cabbellas has a 20 amp model for a little over 120$, should be more than enough to charge your trolling bank overnite.

Jim

no trolling motor, this boat is my weekend cabin away from civilization, so it's just bare necessities for a weekend. Tv, dvdp[layer, ps2, blender, fridge, lights, fishfinder, stereo.

I'm actually thinking about getting a 1000w generator to replace one of the batteries, weighs the same but honda has some super quiet units, I'll run the exhaust into the water I'll never know it's there

What do you call these super smart chargers that charge the deadest battery first? how much are they?
