The Bible prophecizes as we approach the end times more and more false prophets will rise up. Christians are to love all man who was created in God's image. Anyone professing to be a Christian and says they hate somebody is really not understanding the Christian faith. Everyone sins, including Christians. What right does a Christian person have to judge another man? This doesnt mean however that Christians should tolerate or agree with sin. Those bikers are cruisin down the road to trouble. You guys want more info on this discussion, simply consult your Bible.

Oh yeah, Churches are full of caddy people. They are a pain in the neck. Youre not there for the social atmosphere. You there to worship and learn about God. Any other intentions leave an opening for spiritual warfare in your soul, resulting in you not wanting to go. ( the M.O. of the Devil)

Aspeck, You aint no hemroid my friend! I have a lot of respect for the man that stands behind his convictions. It would be an injustice to lump you with the group I posted about. :)

Re: Huh! whoda thunk it

I have known many people that have made drastic transformations over the years. I know one fella that was a drug dealer and user,(I know him, I do not consider him a close friend), who also was into some sort of satanic cult. Now he calls himself a "Born again Christian", and he is constantly preaching the Bible to everyone. Seems I have known many people that have gone from one extreme to the other. Don't get me wrong, I am glad that they have made the transformation, but I believe if you try to live your life somewhat "right" from the start, then going from one extreme to the other would be unnecessary.

Point I am trying to make is, it seems that many of the people who call themselves "Born again Christians" that I have met, are the ones who have sinned more than anyone in the past, and probably the last ones to be preaching the Bible to anyone.
(Before anyone rips me, remember I am not saying ALL "Born again Christians", just many of them I have met).

Re: Huh! whoda thunk it

Carphunter I totally see your point your trying to make but understand that God loves to take the most messed up people and heal them, show them how they are living is not Gods intention for them. If they open their hearts to God (Jesus)he will transform them. They then become "Born Again"
Many become so in your face because of how intense it is to go from one extream to the other and have experienced God in such a real way.Just because they get there lives more together does not make them socially, intelectially or tactfully better then before. God loves to transform sinners into sombody who will glorify him through their testamonies like the guy you know. Many of Gods most known workers were screw ups in their pasts. Moses was a murderer, Jacob a liar, David was a adulterer and the apostle Paul persecuted Christians everywhere he went. They all became men of God and the bible even calls David a man after Gods own heart. I lamost sure that the apostle paul wrote more books in the bible then anybody else and before he became "saved" or "born again" he hunted down christians and had them exicuted.Im guessing those are pretty big sins in most peoples eyes.People need to understand those Christians who are in your face , annoying, hypacritical or just down right mean are not the norm. :)

Re: Huh! whoda thunk it

Every Christmas the wifes sister starts on me with her Born Again propaganda. I smoke, thats a sin. I like a single malt scotch and thats a sin. I kill gods creatures and thats a sin (hunting and fishing, the pastime of the Godless  )
Not too long ago, this woman was involved with booze drugs and multiple interracial relationships (mostly one night stands that she would get drunk and cry to the wife over)
when she starts her BS with me, I tell her "let whoever among you who is withoout sin, cast the first stone" followed by "turn the other cheek"
Didnt think much of her when she was the town bimbo, and I think far worse of her now.

Hey Crappiefisherman, Those are just her opinions.......Mind you I think ( my opinion ) smoking is bad for you and drinking is bad for you but that doesnt mean Im gonna preach to you about them unless you want to have a discution with me about it. The bible says we should not drink in excess and that our body is a temple, meaning the holy spirit resides in us, that is one reason why God may not appreitiate you smoking. Dont let one person's overzealous beliefs make you think all born agaian Christians want to cram thier opinion down your throat. As for huntin and fishin shes way off base...... What did Jesus feed the masses with?.........bread and FISH.....It is clear in the old testiment and new that Gods people ate meat so shes bit goofy stating its a sin to hunt or fish. ;)
