Hybrid Merc Drive?

The corrosion on my lower housing is terrible and I plan on swaping the entire outdrivenfor another Alpha One, but here's what happened. I found another Alpha One for very little money and from a fresh water state, but it was misidentified as a Alpha One; in reality it's a #1 Drive.
Without going into great details, can anyone tell me if this #1 Drive will bolt up to my Alpha One gimbal/transom?

Ayuh,... Sure will,.. direct interchange, use the Alpha gaskets...

The 1s used with GM I4 motors have a short input shaft through...
It'll work,.. for awhile, then rip out the coupler...
Just switch input shafts if necessary...
