hydroelectric throttle assembly

im looking for a hydroelectric throttle box assembly for my 72 50 hp johnson. the one thats on there now is shot do to sitting in the weather. i think it is the newer version. it has a little roller under the throttle lever. where can i find a replacement?

Look for a yellow plug on the control box (your current one has a round yellow plug, right?). I believe 1971 & 72 Evinrude and Johnson 50 twins, plus 1972 65hp triples. If the motor has a self-energized ignition (not an battery CD amp), and an electric shift LU, that's the box you want. <br /><br />Be advised the Evinrude will have three pushbuttons for the shift rather than the Johnson's single lever - that's OK it'll work fine. They're somewhat tough to find, but also therefore tough to sell so just keep looking. EBay's not bad if you find a reputable seller.
