My buddy got a 70's boat with a mercruiser 140 and he had some work done to it by a local boat shop and they did more damage then good. So my friend and I have to put the pieces back together.
So what the problem is that it is missing a line out of the reverse stop switch. We cunsulted the manual and it shows no good lay-out for the hydrolics lines. She has one pump with three lines coming out of it. Two of the lines go to the two cylinders the lower the prop and one goes to the shift assist shooting match and then has a line going down to the reverse stop swith and the bottom port of the reverse stop switch is wide open with no hose in it which spews out oil when the pump is engaged. Can any one help us so we can do some fishing? please.
thanks, john
