Has anyone got one of these? My brother has one on the way. I was wondering what do you think of it? I hear they have a saltwater version I might be interested in.

I would believe it when I see it.[/QUOTE
Yea when he gets his I'm going with him to a reservoir, and we will see. We have fished this place enough to be able to discern something. I will let you know what happens - it makes since scientifically.

Re: Hydrowave?

Hey guys...what's a hydrowave:confused:
It's a new devise that emmitts sounds of predators feeding on shad. It is promoted by Kevin Van Dam. The shad are suppose to follow the boat around, and become really agitated - this is suppose to trigger the predators to feed. It's $400.00. It had a predecessor - I don't remember it's name, but it was $800.00.

Sounds interesting enough...now I just think I'll wait on the $100 version...shouldn't be long!

Re: Hydrowave?

NO FREAKIN' WAY! Details?
I watched Mariko Izumi, Hookin up with on Lake Lanere ( spell check ) GA, and the guide tapped on the bottom of his boat with a stick which raised the Stripers up from 60' to 30' and concentrated them under the boat, and made them active.
When the Hydrowave is activated it raises inactive fish, and stirs them up!

So a free stick is replaced with a $400 electronic device? Did I read right?

From what I gather from their TV commercial, If you forget to turn it off, you will have stuffed animal fish gathering around your trailered boat.

I guess 2 models are needed because salt water is denser than fresh?..................I imagine the salt water unit plays the music from the attack scenes in JAWS? :D .......or they should add that feature topside when it's on, how cool would that be?

I'll get the saltwater version, and a good stick. If the sw don't work, I'll beat the crap out of it with the stick
