Well I got carried away a bit with this rebuild.After waiting for rapidomarine to do nothing I ended up ordering a brand new vortec engine from marineengine4less.Also got a edelbrock 2114 intake,600ccf carb and glm alum manifold+risers.It should push a impressive amount of hp and shed about 100kg of the engine.I talked to a owner with the same boat and he told the 21p mirage is the optimal prop with 4.3 175hp engine.I have a 19p mirage plus now but im quessing it will be to small,I need a 21p mirage plus or maybe even a 23.

Also sent my seats to be redone.Should look pretty sweet as the rest of the boat is mint.

Im in a need of help again.I got the old motor out today.The guy at the marina pointed out that I have slight play in the upper gimbal housing bearing.Its either part number 16/17

Its very slight but noticeable by hand.How hard is it to change this bearing?The guy at the marine said I need to remove the gimbal from the transom for this job.

Your best bet would be to start a new post with your new problem. After a reply or two, this question will no longer be seen. Plus the title doesn't help anything either.
