I have 50 gallons of 18 month old fuel in my fuel tank. Should I be worried about the old fuel causing problems?

Siphon it out and use it for your lawn motor etc. you could probably also use it in your car(add 1/2 gallon to a gallon of it every time you fill your tank).

Any idea if Stabil etc was added to the gas in question?

The boat was winterized by a boat mechanic. I don't know if it's common practice or not to use any sort of fuel stabilizer. Storing 50 gallons of fuel when I don't have a garage isn't very practical.

I had 25 gallons of 2 year old fuel that I drained out of my boat when I got it.

...............just ran all of it in my car.... 1/2 tank at a time... No ill effects.

If possible, call the mechanic and ask if he treated the fuel. Runny crappy fuel may gum up your carbs and/or make your motor run like garbage.

It's up to you if you want to use it or not.

Ayuh,... Pump out a sample quart or gallon,... Then Smell it,... if it still Smells like gas, 'n looks Ok, burn it up...

The life of gas is extended when stored in Bulk,...
More gas keeps longer, than a little gas...

I'd siphon it out, pour it into 5 gallon cans, set up kool-aid stand on a street corner, and sell the old gas for $3.35 gallon. You will sell it
in less than an hour.:)

That's a great idea, but I'd probably get a ticket for causing a traffic jam once the line starts to form.
