serial # 10022-04105.....im trying to find the year and model so i can buy a gasket for the gear housing..thanks in advance

Those #'s don't help. Is there anything else on the serial plate? How about on the plug on top of the block?

plug on block have same numbers as serial plate.....i was told by the seller itwas 1965 9.5..2 stroke i was just making ure

10022 is a 1961 10HP Evinrude (not a 9.5).

It doesnt look that clean but im putting it on the same size boat..lol. the onlt thing it needs is a gasket on the lower gear housing and a 2 gear housing screws. the last owner put it back together that way. Just picked it up today to replace a cheap peace of crap honda clone from china. I live near beaver lake in arkansas so i should find a local dealer that has the parts

1965 9.5hp evinrude/johnson model #'s were 9522, 9523 and MQ-11, MQL-11

thanks for the link i now know the part number to gasket. i looks like it was well taken care of. has a few scratches on the motor cover and prop is dinged a little. Hasnt been started this year so i look forward to the challenge of getting this thing purring
