i have a problem with my evinrude

my old evinrude 15 hrs has a problem with gas. whenever i crank it up and get it running, the suction never stays through the gas line, is this an engine problem or an old gas tank problem? (the gas line is new and so is the prongs on the tank. however, the tank itself is old)

maybe ur fuel pump if it has one....i really don't know this motor but the old motors are pretty much the same kinda....

It could be the fuel pump or an air leak in the gas line or an air leak at the carb.. What year is it? Rick.
