I like guns too, but my wife does not. Cool video. I think all of us would like to blow up a car at some point. When I was a wee lad we went to my grampa's house up in the UP der hey. Ge had some old 50's cars that were dead and we were allowed to shoot them when we were only 12 or so. Man o man that was fun.

PS for those who do not know what the UP is... It is the upper part of Wisconsin known as the UP of Michigan. Bark river Escanaba area.

I like most guns but never got into the lust for destruction.

I like any fine piece of machinery, be it guns, clocks, cars, bikes, outboards or even knives.

Part of liking fine machinery is being able to discriminate it from merely pretty junk. There is elegance in fine machinery but too often mere style tries to pass for elegance.

I generally find John Moses Browning's designs elegant, and when made by FN, Winchester, Colt, Ithaca or Remington I usually find them to be fine machinery as well.

when I was in the Army we used to do bore sight firing (artillery) at old Jeeps. direct hits were always a good cheer.

At the risk of sounding a bit political, our friends in Oz did not "give up" their guns. They had them taken away. Big difference.

It's not a big difference. "Give up" or "taken away" - it's merely semantics, depending on perception. They lost them through legislation, not because of some outside authority.

And Glocks are butt ugly.
