I like the new rules

I decided to watch the Milwaukee Bucks opening game and the anouncers are discussing the new rules.

Players have to dress professionally going to and from the games. Suits and ties, not baggy pants and tank tops.

Filthy language will not be tolerated. Technical foul.

Argue with the ref over a call. Technical foul. Rasheed Wallace got run out of the game I was watching for his mouth.

Chewing gum during the national anthem, 10,000 dollar fine. (I am not sure if they were joking about that one)

Subtle rule changes are evolving the game into more of a running game than the old wrestling match under the rim with 7foot + giants.

They are calling palming the ball again.

The new superstars are closer to role models than others in the past. D. Wade, Carmello Anthony, LeBron James vs. Allen Iverson, Kobe Bryant.

I think the NBA wants my business. And if this continues they are going to get some of my entertainment dollars. Hats off to Commissioner Stern. Things are improving. d

There was a noticable difference in the DIRECTV's advertisement for the season pass promo. We'll see whether or not the gangstas or the NBA wins out. I have my doubts.

I agree KaGee, but look at the current and upcoming superstars. Adam Morrison, Rip Hamilton, Dirk Nowitsky, Michael Redd, Steve Nash, Kevin Garnett, Kirk Hemrick. All good guys. I am hopeful. I used to love, I mean love listening to the games on the radio as a kid before they were all televised. I would get XM radio if they got to that point again.

I am personally a great fan of Nowitski and Nash. Excellent role models.

I really like the new rules too. Big step foreward for the NBA IMHO.........its the way it was in High School sports. Game Day= Wear a Tie.

Personally I think the ucks are gonna be a real sleeper team this year...............I am going to the game on Saturday I think, so hopefully that game will be like tonights.8)

I heard that if you don't have a criminal record you can't play for them?
I'm glad to see someone is trying to clean up the game.
