I am in need of a tach in a bad way that will work on a twin cyl 2 stroke outboard-one on the dash would be great but for now I just need to know how fast my motor is spinning for troubleshooting-anyone have suggestions for reading RPMs on the cheap,or maybe could send a private mssage if you have a tach collecting dust?my objective here is to see if my motor is spinning within factory specs wide open-

Tiny tach is the cheapest, but not that much cheaper than a Teleflex that you install on the dash. Get them right here on iBoats.

If I go the new route I will indeed buy one through I boats-this place has been a great resource! I've got to think as cheap as possible for now though...I used to have a dwell meter that had a tach setting-was thinking if I came across another one at a pawn shop I could use the 4cyl dial for the boat?

I have a Tiny Tach and it works great. If you spend a few extra dollars and get the commercial model it can be set for just about any firing sequence, lawnmower to V-8.

Would a 6hp Johnson 2 stroke take a 2-c tiny tach? Can I use that same one (2c) on my 1 cys Tohatsu?
