Hi? i am planing to buy a new stator, trigger and rectifier for my 1995 120 force mercury outboard engine.

red and black stator which stator color is better and durable (last long)?

which brand trigger should i buy that will last long?

which brand rectifier should i buy that is good and last long?

pls if you know a website or link or store where i can buy these items pls let me know?

finally, i need instructions or guide on how to remove the flywheel, the stator and trigger. if you also have pic on how to do this job pls send me some pics.

i also want to know the torque spec for the flywheel.

i don,t have cash at the moment to take the boat to the shop to do this job/repair. i am mechanically incline . so with some instructions and guide i can do the job.

all great ideas and instructions are welcome. Thanks

1- buy a factory or Clymer repair manual. There is way too much to cover in detail for someone to type here.
2- read it and troubleshoot the issue/problem to determine what parts are needed before buying them.

the old "bad reputation" stators are no longer available.
I like cdi brand ignitions, I also like ignitioncomponents.com or you can buy them here:

I think they're all the same...only difference is one comes with spade connectors and the other comes with plug in style weatherproof connectors. If I were you i'd get the one that matches your ignition system to avoid splicing and all that crap.

engine cranks/turns but no start. i found out no spark on all four cylinders or spark plugs. compression is good and all battery and ground terminals are clean. battery is brand new.
