Well congratulations! You're now an experienced boater!
<br /><br />My experience with having forgotten the plug was so embarrassing that it's worth repeating here.<br /><br />I only have to tow the boat 1/3 mile to the ramp but I didn't really have a truck capable of doing that. I have a little 4cyl Toyota Pick Up with a 2" ball on the bumper.<br /><br />I was able to pull the boat to the ramp and back her in OK... Everything was going fine when the bilge pump kicked in and was pumping at full capacity and not slowing down. I realized then what I'd done. Yup... THE PLUG! <br /><br />I had the plug in the truck but that even though the boat was still on the trailer my little truck wouldn't pull it back up the ramp... especially with the added weight of all that water!<br /><br />I had to grab the plug and go into the creek behind the boat and dunk myself to put the plug in. This was bad enough but to make matters worse I was doing all of this in full view of the folks in the restaurant at the water's edge! <br /><br />I haven't done it since and now I've got a new boat and a truck big enough to launch and retrieve it with ease.
