I/O to outboard

Have a Renker 18.8 with a 2.5 omc. Want to do away with this setup and put 150 outboard on boat. Renewing transon and stringers but would have to alter stern cap to allow outboard. Is there anything that i need to look out for. Would weight being pushed back cause and issues?

Ayuh,... Probably, but you can try it anyways....
It'll be easier to bracket mount the motor, rather than transom mounting it...

Ya i would mount it on a Pod!!
