Last?? Now's the time to really enjoy the boat. No more hurricanes, no more 105 degree days, no more....

Oops! Just noticed your location...sorry! On the other hand you could come on down and go fishing with us...

Tried to get mine back in on Thursday, but there was already 3 inches of ice on the lake. It all formed in 4 days. It will build up fast if it stays cold. Some guys were icefishing already yesterday.

Hey Joe....have to ask "Are you crazy?" :) Good thing it wasn't today with all that snow coming down, soon to be followed by freezing rain :(

Ice belongs in a glass with your favorite beverage. Not on a lake. :)

Re: I Won! I Won!

Hey TeamStrom, got ya beat there!!

Spent all winter last year respowering my 19' bowrider (first boat for me).

From April 16 (maiden voyage) until the day I sold it in September I had her in the water 72 days. And I trailer so that includes prep at the house, drive to the water, unload, fish, etc, load back up, drive home, clean up, do it all again. :)

There were three weeks when I took her out 7 days a week, and I work 5 days a week. Lucky for me I get home by 4:00pm so plenty of light left during the summer. :)

Now I have Stiff Nibles II and a slip for next year, so I'm looking to break my 72 day record in '05. :) Got this boat October 11 this year and already had it out 11 times. Yes, I have a problem.... :)

You guys might want to read the fine print on your insurance policies. In mine (I'm way up North) I have to have the boat out of the water between November 1 and April 30. The premium is presumably lower if your boat is not in the water a big chunk of the year. Obviously you can get whatever coverage you want at a price.

Just something you might want to check. It was 26 degrees yesterday AM in Boston, but damn, I already miss being on the water....

Re: I Won! I Won!

Hey Teamstromer,

Yeah I can't complain about the wife, most of the time. She found me the first boat, used, and even supported my repowering it. Many days in the garage that winter. She likes going out on the boat. She also greenlighted the boat I have now. Unfortunately I had to buy it, sold every other toy I had but it was all worth it. Maybe she'll pick up the next one. :)

And yeah, I was out there a few days that I really shouldn't have been. A few waves over the low nose of a bowrider will learn you some respect of the water really quick though! :)
