Reminds me of those toy cars we used to have that would explode into a dozen or so pieces when rolled head-on into a wall or something.

What a shame. One of my customers had a saying about wealthy people. "When you have enough money, you can afford to be stupid."

Being a Ferrari owner doesn't automatically make you a Ferrari driver. :p

spots

The car did it's job. The passenger compartment looks intact. Try thay with any other car.

That was the car involved in a high speed chase yesterday. The passenger had a scratch on his face, the driver took off on foot. Last i heard, they are still looking for him.

Car was worth about $1 million!

Story Here

I saw some TRUTHS from this.

1. Money does not equal brains. Probably stolen=less brains.

2. Lucky-SOB's-Those cars are not really safe. No crash zones, air bags-maybe (air bags in the wrong place are deadly), no regulations, no nothing. Just an engine in a fiberglass/kevlar boat, with wheels. But, the Fed's allow such cars, WITH A PRICE. See #1.

Sorry DJ but I gotta disagree with you on that one.....

First of all, look again at picture five in the sequence: both airbags deployed.

Kevlar tub is designed to dissipate the energy, which it did very successfully. Ferrari have a huge crash test programme and the European regulations for crash-testing under NCAP are just as robust as the US.
The crash-zones worked perfectly in this car in this accident.
120mph and the "passenger" (ahem, who's he kidding?) escaped with minor bruises?

Yeah, I've seen what happens to Fords crashing at half that speed and it ain't purdy :( :(

i think that they were just REALLY LUCKEY the pole cliped the rear of the car

And it broke away clean so they did not slow down so fast

And there were no more poles or cars as they spun around in circles with nothing but LUCK on there side

tommays

That engine and drive train would be worth a fortune on eBay. Even though it fell out of a car doing 100+ miles per hour. :D
