I finally got the boat out on the lake for the first time two weeks ago the motor ran good but the starter went out and was towed in by the lake patrol. First time on a boat,First time on the lake,First time breaking down, First time getting towed in, all in one day! This weekend i took it out again I noticed it was Idling low when I went to accelerate it died. I had to accelerate quick so it would'nt die is this an idle problem or something else? also when the lower unit engages is it supposed to engage smoth or sound like a clunk noise.
