A week or so we fixed a trim issue. Now the boat has been run for the first time this year. Everything went as well as it could have. I have a carry over problem from last year. The motor stalls out if you dont do a pretty speedy shift into forward or into reverse. As well at lo speed the carbs kinds pop and sputter some and some times it just stalls out. The gas is last years and was treated with a good dose of STABIL before being put away. Maybe new sparkplugs wouldn't hurt but the problem was there last year so it is time to get it fixed. It got a little better when I raised the idle speed but since I do not have a tach or even a hand held one I am pretty much in the dark as far as idle speed is concerned and I am a little afraid of screwing something up by having to high of an idle speed SO.... please share your opinions with me.
I should also add, the motor is a 1990 90 hp pushing a 19 ft Spectrum.
Thanks to all
