Djohns19 - thats the problem around here. And for some reason its been that way since at least the 60's . There's nothing wrong with the Merc line but there has never been anybody strong in service here. Many folks are real happy with the motor until they need a simple service. Then its a day off work to tow the boat 40-50 miles and a day off to go get it later. <br /><br />I think as good as most motors are today, I'd choose based on available LOCAL service.

It's been a while. But, I've been out shopping. I ordered an 18' Hydra-Sports with a 150hp fuel injected Yamaha VMAX. No it's not a rocket. But it is going to fly. The dealer has been around as long as anyone can remember. I've gotten friendly with the owner and the service crew. And, I negotiated for an extra year of warranty to make a total of three. Wish me luck.<br /><br />CFO94, where did you stop in Tampa? My parents live on a little island across from Port of Tampa.
