Ignition connections for Chrysler model 559 HF (1973 - 55 hp)

Please help!<br /><br />I have several questions regarding the ignition system for the Chrysler 55 hp (mod. 559 HF)<br />1. When does the spark plug receive the fire from the points, a)when points are open, b)when closed.<br /><br />2. Where does the (+) positive wire from the points connect on the coil, a) - (negative) b) + positive<br /><br />3. When is the piston TDC (top dead center)<br />a) when points are open, b) when closed<br /><br />4. what's the firing order?<br /><br />5. Should it be fire (12 v) at all time on the points?<br /><br />6. Is there an other electronic connecting part to ignition besides, coil, points and condenser?<br /><br />7. How do I know when: the condenser, points, coil are good?<br /><br />Does someone has an ignition diagram?

One thing you could do is go to your local library and see if they have a Seloc manual for Chrysler. It explains your ignition system and is very readable. There is a testing and troubleshooting section too. They are also always up for bids at ebay . I got one for less than $10. Points and condensers are still available.
