I have been blowing ignition fuses under the dash in my 1990 wellcaft 232 eclipse. It will run for about 1/2 hour and then just die. Have to replace the fuse and get another 1/2 hour. No new equipment hooked to it. Engine running cool at 160

It really doesn't matter in this forum what boat you have, we need to know what engine and drive combination you have. Full model and serial numbers are welcomed.

Re: Ignition fuse blowing

....sounds to me as though something is heating up during your 1/2 hour underways. Check all your electrical connections from the load side of the fuse, through the key switch all the way back to the coil. I suspect you'll find a hot terminal (connection) due to corrosion. (resistence causes heat,
more current is called for, more heat and so on until the fuse capacity is exceeded.
