Can someone help me locate the right ignition switch?

I have a broken terminal on my switch.
It's a 6 terminal push to choke.

see this one:
OMC Push-To-Choke Ignition Starter Switch SeaDog Line
Part # 420382-1
Three Position Ignition Switch - Magneto Style

And this one:

Push To Choke 6 Terminals - MarineWorks
Part # MP39760
Magneto Type - Push to Choke- 6 terminal- 3 position

The magneto type is whats throwing me.
How Do I tell if I need a magneto type switch?
The motor I have is a Chrysler 55hp 1970, Model 555HA

Re: Ignition switch?

Ok, I just looked in the manual and it shows by the way the switch is wired up, it's a magneto style.

Now the other question I have.

There are 3 extra wires.
Black
Purple
orange.

The black and purple dont go to anything on both ends.
But the orange goes to the heat terminal on the engine. So I assume thats a heat sensor.
What would the black and purple be used for?

Re: Ignition switch?

Been going through fits with mine also....I have the same switch. On my boat, the purple wire coming from the engine harness to the console is for the tach. Mine also has the orange wire, which is for the overheat sensor. I just got that wired up today. I don't have a black wire, or at least I haven't noticed one....YET. Work in progress.

Hope this helps a little.
