Ignition Switch

I bought a new replacement ignition switch today for my 1978 Johnson 70 HP outboard and I am having some trouble identifying the right connectors. The ignition is in the side mount control box.

The first picture is the product and the second and third shows the letters next to the connectors. On the left side you can see that one connector can either be A or S.

My old ignition switch had 6 connectors. This replacement one has 5 connectors and 1 female type that a screw goes in that is marked "M", which I'm guessing is for the 2 black ground wires that were together on the same connector on my old switch. And the other stand up connector labeled "M" is for the other single black wire. It looks like the center stand up is marked C for the purple/white wire (choke wire). I see the one for the red battery wire marked "B". But I don't know for certain about the two connectors on the left and lower left. Which is A and S?

Thanks.

A is assessorial and S is starter solenoid
M for magneto and one goes to ground the other goes to the magneto

No Title

I think my choke is purple/white. If you look closely at this picture you will see that within the red circle I have 2 terminals (connectors) and 3 identifying letters - A, S and I. The letter "I" I am assuming stands for "Ignition Circuit". If so, I don't know which wire color that would be.

I have 6 terminals and 7 identifying letters. See the problem?

1 terminal (in red circle) appears to have both the letters "A" and "S" assigned to it.

I need to find out which identifying letter - "A", "S" or "I" is for which of the 2 terminals within the red circle.

Thanks.

"S" is the upper terminal in the red circle. "I" is the lower terminal. "A" is the center terminal with wires on it.

Thanks, but where is the choke terminal? The center terminal seems to have the letter "C" next to it.

Sorry -- brain phart. "A" is a blank spot (no terminal) under the wire going to the "C" terminal. "A" is accessory but accessories on this switch would connect to the "I" terminal which has 12 volts on it when the key is in the RUN position. C is the middle terminal.

I have another problem. There is a inline fuse located on the back of the engine near the top carburetor. It is blown and I'm not entirely sure of it's size, but I believe I saw AGA 20 on what was left of the fuse. Is this the starter solenoid fuse?Is that the right fuse size and type? I'm going to replace it and see if it blows again and if it does then I may have the ignition switch wired incorrectly.

The fuse was a AGA 20A3. I bought a new one and installed it and it blew the moment I turned the key. So something is amiss.
