Ignition Wiring

I have a 1962 Johnson Mahogany Wood Boat. I bought a new Solenoid and I have no I dea how to hook up the wires from the Ignition to the Solenoid..Please Please Help, I want to take my Boat out so Badly..Any pictuers or diagrams i would appreciate so much.

John.. Would like very much to help but you need to supply us with some more information...What kind of engine does the boat have? Outboard?.... Inboard?.... What manufacturer?....

I am sorry Snapper, it is an outboard motor made by johnson 75hp 2 stroke engine
