The amount of stuff one accumalates can be overwhelming when one tries to get themselves sorted out prior to moving.
When i moved from Texas two and a half years ago, i said to my wife that there is no way in hell that i'm ever going to acquire this much belongings ever again.
Lo and behold! What did i do?....Yup! like a darn fool, here we go again.
Well as of today, i presently do not own as much as a TV, i'm in the process of selling my home and getting the hell outta Dodge, therefore i deemed it prudent to donate most of my belongings, various organisations were only too happy to come and pick everything up. The write off is so much better than trying to sell all of that stuff, say's my accountant.
I took his advice.
I shall keep the condo which we have in Miami and one vehicle since there both fully paid for, it will be our home here in FL for approx three months a year, give or take a week or two.
St Maarten is a beautiful little Carribean island where i shall be spending a lot of my time for the next few years, but for the peace and quiet that i seek as the twilight draws nearer, i hope to do so on the island of Anguilla just a little skip away by the ferry or sea-taxi.
Right now the weather pattern really sux.
For all those in the path of Gustav and his cohorts, stay safe and evacuate if you have to, do not take unnessary chances.
So long and good luck to all, until....
