Bye y'all. Heading to Lake Barkley tomorrow for a week of chasing crappie.
Copius amounts of adult beverages will be consumed throughout the week.(After we're off the water).
Have a good trip, try the bass they should be right this week, the crappie here has been hitting white and chartruse grubs.the big slabs has been coming out of 15 feet of water, have fun and be safe.
T2F, if the sun is hitting the rocks, go for some bass.
Use a spinner bait, 1/2 to 3/8, 2 big colorados, 1 gold and 1 silver in front of a white/chartruse skirt.

Good luck and have a good time.
There will be 9 of us on a 22 ft. pontoon. Any "finesse" type fishing is out!! We'll be drowning minnows on sunny rocky banks and fishing the buck brush. Last year was great. We were catching lots of 14 and 15 inch crappie with nice shoulders.
It's always a nice week with these "new" friends I met 6 years ago. Some of these fellows have been going to Barkley for over 25 years.
We stay in a nice townhouse (Holiday Hills Resort) right on the Lake and cook our own food. Cost for the week? Less than $200.00/each for the week. Beverages extra!!! I've got the king size bottle of Buffalo Trace Bourbon to take with me.
