Pontoon boats have always been a slow, laid back, no hurry type of boating, very appropriate for the country music song writers, but now, with the wild graphics, high performance toons, wakeboard towers w/ speakers, and premium sound systems...all attracting the younger crowd into the pontoon "culture"...maybe Motley Crue will compose some tunes for the toons. lol.
meantime i'll crank up ol' Bocephus, pop another pbr, and drown some worms.

Sorry.......no country music on my toon. 7800+ songs on my Ipod and not 1 country song in the bunch...Rock never dies.....it's just people who slow down. I'd rather not play music on my toon really, I'm out there to enjoy nature....peace and quiet. Music is neither peaceful nor quiet (unless it's elevator music).....if I want that I'll go to a bar or a concert. It's the last thing I want on the river when I'm out there.

I do the ipod thing too Jeff. Benny, I grew up on hard rock/metal and fishing. Everything about me, my toon, and even my style of fishing is laid back, just not my choice in music. Drives my buddies that like country and more mainstream rock crazy when I get one of the trapped in the Jeep with me going somewhere. lol.

I too grew up on rock, not so much head bangin' though, i enjoy a very wide variety of music when i got a buzz, from the Stones to Linkin Park, and at times when we're at anchor, i'll let the sound of waves slappin against the logs put me to sleep. Like River Lizard implies, sometimes the best music is the sounds of momma nature. :tranquillity:

On my lake, you'd be enemy #2--behind enemy #1 with the 40' Donzi with twin 496 Mercruisers and straight exhaust w/o mufflers.

We're not a lake of day boaters. We live on the lake with boathouses in our front yard. We like to sleep on Saturday mornings. And, we might not like your taste in music.

Enemy #3 is the guy that has a Allison bassboat with a Mercury Racing 250 hp XS motor running 7500 rpms just before daybreak. He doesn't even have to trim that screaming machine out to run 75 mph. He could wait until us lake people wake up to run full out.

Had a bunch of young guys running up and down the river alongside where I was anchored fishing last summer who were BLASTING out some Journey while wake boarding. Sure it was annoying, but me and my son couldn't stop laughing. Who blasts Journey while wake boarding?! Especially nowadays? Don't stop...belieeeeeeev-n'!.....
